It did not look like the weather would cooperate for Prince’s Lakes annual Easter egg hunt, but all who participated agreed that it was a success. The morning was a bit chilly but families began rolling in at 10 AM, an hour before the Easter egg hunt’s scheduled start. An approximate tally of the turn out was over 160 children attending. Volunteers prepared over 4000 plastic eggs with candy and prizes. There were also 160 Easter egg bags with additional treats and Kona Ice had their truck loaded with flavorful treats. Monetary prizes and four new bicycles with given out at a drawing. Many thanks to all who volunteered to make this event a great one. Included were folks from the Nineveh Volunteer Fire Department, Princes Lakes Police Department, Princes Lakes Town Hall and the Utilities and Street Departments. Local businesses also made contributions. Thanks to Eddie’s Pizza, Wildflour Bakery, Paisley Plumbing, Franklin Liquor, and Lee Robbins-attorney for their generous contributions as well.
